Sadly, often in life we don’t fully understand how big of an impact we can have on others until we are faced with a life altering experience of our own. For the past four years I have been struggling to deal with Philip’s passing, the struggles are many fold and they present themselves in unpredictable ways. I realized that after witnessing personal tragedy there is a deep need to contribute energy in a positive way to make meaningful change.
In the past, the hardships of others were something not close to my reality and I didn’t fully engage in this idea. Through the work of Philip’s Fund I have witnessed the needs of the many underprivileged students and their families. The ability to impact them through charitable work has been rewarding and I am appreciative for the opportunity to do this. However, my complete fulfillment comes from running.
Marathons have reinforced both my healing process and are a great source for much needed funds. Over the past 2 years I have completed the New York City and Chicago marathons and I am excited to announce that I will be participating in the Berlin Marathon on September 25, 2016!
I am asking you to support my cause, all proceeds will go directly to Philip’s Fund and will allow us to continue to fund our scholarships, support our schools and the many in need.
Thank you so much for your generous support while I’m running for Philip!
With much love,
